precious boy

I am loving that we are starting to get some nice days here and there, and that gives me a chance to get outside with my camera. I recently had the privilege of meeting this family of three, and snapping some photos. This little guy was born eight weeks premature, and mom was so happy to finally get some family photos as newborn photos were out of the question. Having spent a little quality time in the hospital myself, since having kids, I am always amazed by those who, like this family, have to spend weeks there. All this to say I was honored to get to take his first photos. I am so glad you have all done so well!

When he arrived, he was in the middle of a nap, so I decided to take the opportunity to get some sleepy shots.

I love this shot of the little guy. (by the way, how stylin' is he?!?)

The family of three:

And finally, when mom mentioned they hadn't had any shots of the two of them since their wedding day we decided to change that in a hurry :o)

Thanks guys! It was so great to meet you, I'm glad it worked out for us! And congratulations again, he is so precious!

country bump

Yep, it's another baby bump! And I got to have some fun again. My cousin lives on a horse farm, so I was so excited to head out there and take some pictures before this baby gets here. I think these photos were taken ten days before her due date so she was definitely feeling ready to meet this little one, but humored me anyways :o)

If I think of my cousin, I think of horses. She has been on one practically since she started walking, so I had to get a few shots with some of her horses, here are a couple of my favorites:

And then into the hay!

There were so many stunning photos of her, but a lot of them were tastefully topless, which I always choose not to post on the internet for just anyone to see, so I thought I would post a couple of the other stunners, but I can't wait for you to see them L!

Hopefully soon there will be some more shots of the baby that was in this belly (and the previous bellies as well!)

oh baby

This is some serious good stuff. A good friend of mine is about to have her first baby. That in itself is exciting, but on top of that she had me out to her place to take some pictures, and it was amazing!! They live on eight acres full of a mini train track, complete with bridges, tunnels, and a skate park right across the street. So, take a cute couple, up to anything I had to throw at them, and this property...and you get some magical shots...look out people, there are a lot of them (and I could have posted SO MANY more!!)...

We started out in the house,

Then set up the back drop before heading outside (seriously, how cute are they?!?)

And then we headed out on the property, where the magic happened. Check out this tunnel, I loved it (in fact I may talk them into letting me come back with some other willing subjects...)

Then onto the bridge. Some of my favorite shots were there, and here are two of them:

Then we crossed the street (where we took some other sweet shots) to this fun graffiti park.

LOVE this one

Then we let dad off the hook and did a few with just the mom-to-be (very soon!!!)

And finally...back home to snuggle.

I think I exhausted them, she told me they went to bed early that night! haha. Becs, I hope you are happy with your sneak peek. You are beautiful, and I cannot wait to meet this little baby that you are growing :o) Can't wait for you to see the rest of them! Let me know when you're coming over :o) (in case I needed a draw)

when there were four

Yep, another maternity shoot for you, but this one includes a couple of cute little ones as well. I just love to get outdoors. I am longing for the colors that spring will bring to my view finder, but for now we found our own color in the neighborhood. We took some photos indoors, but I think the kids agreed with me that outdoors is better, cause they got real agreeable to my photography ideas as soon as we stepped outside.

I'll start off with a photo of the four...almost five of them. Soon it will be hard to even imagine what life without the new little one was like.

I just love her little expressions in these two shots! (just click on the image to see it larger)

And very soon having just these two little ones will seem so easy, right?!? :o)

And onto the reason we're here, this here baby belly...

And one last little family shot, that I love. What a cute belly, what a beautiful family. Don't worry! Having three is fantastic, especially with a birth order like our kids :o)

Thanks again for having me over and going with all my crazy ideas! I can't wait to meet the little guy (and learn his name)!

almost three

You know one of the things I love the most about taking photos professionally? It's meeting new people. And there are some people I meet who I just can't help but love. Where we just fall into easy conversations and feel like I've known them forever. This was such a couple. They are expecting their first baby in the next few weeks, and what a lucky baby! They are so excited to meet this little one, and I can't wait to hear if it's a boy or a girl in this beautiful belly!

This couple has such a great chemistry. I just loved being around them, and they were so sweet together

It was truly great to meet you guys, I am so excited for you to enter the wonderful world of parenting, you are both well equiped for the job, and I have no doubt this will be one wonderful baby! Keep me posted!!
