three sweet sisters

These three beautiful girls and I took her parents out to have some photos taken. I was shocked and horrified to learn that these were the first professional photos they'd had taken since their wedding! So needless to say, although mom and dad haven't aged a bit, things certainly have changed. :o)
I hope you were happy with your new photos! And here are a few of my favorites!

First a couple of family shots

The big sister

Your girls are all so beautiful, but there is just something about this girl...her amazing hair (she's two and a half, and check out that hair!!!), her eyes, her fair skin, she's just so pretty!

And speaking of eyes, I adore these eyes!

And one last family shot

Thanks guys! Let's do this again before one of the girl's wedding pictures, haha!

so little, so sweet

Well, I am getting further and further behind here on the ol' blog, but that's good, only in that it means I'm far too busy taking pictures, and getting them to clients to get on the internet much. Well, that and being a mom :o)

Here are a few long overdue pictures of this beautiful little newborn. He was only five days old here, and I think he's actually about two months old now, but here are a few of my favorite to make mom swoon, and sniffle because he's changed so much already.

Get ready, there are lots of pictures, and this is after eliminating far too many already!

A little vintage feel to this one. Isn't he just the cutest??!

I love how little he looks in dad's big hands

And a sweet mauling, I mean holding session with the family. :o) This baby will be well loved if his big sister has anything to say about it!

And lastly (hey, I warned you there were a lot!) I love how squishy his little face and mouth look in this picture, and there's just nothing that melts me like a sleeping baby!

Hope you enjoyed the peak! Now we have to get together so I can actually get your pictures to you. (and so I can give him another snuggle!

family of three

Nothing like a crisp fall day for some family photos! I met up with this family in Langley to get some photos in time for Christmas. It was a beautiful day, and we got some great shots. I had a hard time picking my favorites, there were so many I loved, but here are a few

Check out this little guy's smile, I just love it! He was a very happy, smiley little guy, once again making my job easy :o)

And a few back at my favorite barn. (seriously, you can't get a bad family shot here!!)

One of the little guy himself...is he cute or what!?!

Another shot I just love, I love how he's looking at mom, and she's smiling up at him. Family.

Thanks you guys, I'm so glad we got a nice day...finally!! Enjoy your pictures!!

I think I may have a new favorite...

Have I mentioned what a genius my friend Rachel is? Well she is. I think she figured out my color problem, so I have lots to post. This is my last shoot, I will have to go back and fix all my other ones before posting them, but here are a few new ones in the mean time:

You may recognize this family if you've been following my blog. We had planned to get together for some Christmas pictures and after a few tries, we finally found a nice day, and got some great photos! I love this little family. Their baby is seriously the most smiley, happy little girl ever! I thought I had happy babies, but she takes the cake! And her mom and dad are so much fun, it is just such a pleasure to take their pictures! Here are some of my favorites:

And miss happy herself

She seemed to like sticking her tongue out. I got lots of shots of that little tongue, and I just love her expression in this one

Now for the kissy pictures... i love these

That new favorite I mentioned? This just might be it. I LOVE this picture!! Dad's expression, how little miss is practically mauling him, all of it, I just love it!

Or it might be this one. I love it too. Can't decide, both will be on the new website!!

And finally, because they were Christmas pictures, and I'm beginning to feel rather Christmas-y...

Thanks again, you guys are such fun, and I just adore your sweet baby!!! Hope to see you all again soon! Enjoy the pictures!

little miss

Sorry for my lack of blogging, I've been having some trouble with the color of my photos. This makes me none too happy, I haven't quite figured it out yet, but I figured I'd post a few anyways, and try and choose a few more black and whites.

Anyways, little miss here was a part two of a belly/baby booking, so you might recognize the proud parents. Baby had a little trouble gaining weight in the beginning so it took us a few weeks to finally get together, so at four weeks, she was nice and alert almost the whole shoot.

I borrowed a friend's stroller from when she was little, thought it was so cute! Now, baby didn't love it, but we did get a few shots!

I love baby feet. I despise adult feet, but baby feet are just so darn cute. Is that odd? I'm not sure, but here's a sweet foot anyways.

Thanks again guys, you were a pleasure to spend time with, and I appreciate all your grade one advice :o) Enjoy every minute with your sweet baby! Time really starts to fly now!

sweet, sweet baby

Another beautiful little girl has been added to this beautiful little family. At two weeks old, she was a delight to photograph, I don't think I heard a peep out of her the whole time.

Her sweet, talkative big sister was more than happy to oblige and hold her new baby for a few pictures.

I love this shot, how you can see how tiny she is.

Mom had some gerberas that we just had to put in there, and as always, baby was perfectly happy to oblige!

Congrats again guys! Your girls are such little darlings! Thanks for having me over to take her first pictures!!!

baby boy

My very favorite things to photograph are births. I had a photographer with me for the births of my babies, and those photos are such a treasure to me, that I love being able to capture that special moment for other people. And this time... I almost made it! I think I walked into the room six minutes after baby made his grand entrance. Those third babies just don't take their time!

The gorgeous baby, not long after his arrival

And one with his beautiful mommy

I love how tiny he looked in daddy's arms.

I was especially excited to photograph this birth because his brave mom had him at home, and I've never witnessed a home birth. It was, afterwards anyways, an amazingly relaxed atmosphere. And I loved the contraption the midwives used to measure this little guy. I can't tell how it reads, but this is it

Stay tuned for more photos of this beautiful boy and his family. And Rachel, congratulations again!! I have so enjoyed spending time with you and learning from you, I look forward to our many photo sessions back and forth in the future! ;o)

these are a few of my favorite...people

If you know me at all, you know this family! And you know how much I adore this family. And oh how much fun I had taking some quick pictures of them:

When this sweet little thing was just a teeny tiny newborn we took a photo of her lying on the end of the bed with the rest of the family behind her, so I decided to try and recreate it. She's not so teeny, but she's so stinkin' adorable! (though I admit, I may be a little biased when it comes to these girls for some strange reason.)

These girls LOVE their daddy, and he adores them, I think this picture definitely captures the daddy's girls.

I took individual photos of each of the girls, but this was my favorite. I love those glasses. I love this sweet girl.

I seriously can't get enough of them.

And lastly, the family photo I love the most. Is this not a beautiful family!?!

That's it for now, but you will see more of this family very soon. I'm thinking with fall leaves all around them...
Love you guys! More than you will ever know.
